Turkish warplanes destroyed three Daesh targets in northern Syria, Turkish military said Saturday.

According to the Turkish General Staff’s statement, an air operation was conducted Saturday between 11.53 a.m. (0853 GMT) and 12.26 p.m. (0926 GMT), which resulted in the destruction of three Daesh targets in Tatimus and Kunah Tira regions.

The warplanes safely returned to their base at the end of the operation.

Turkish military launched Operation Euphrates Shield on Aug. 24 to improve security, support coalition forces and eliminate the terror threat along Turkey's border using Free Syrian Army fighters backed by Turkish armor, artillery and jets.
