Russia Aims 200 Billion Dollars Trade Volume for China
Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao and his Russian counterpart Dmitri Medvedev came together in Moscow. Russia's trade volume target for 2020 will be $ 200 billion, indicated Medvedev after a series of biletaral and interdelegational meetings. On the other hand, the medium term trade volume target between China and Turkey is noted as $ 100 billion.

Saying that Russia places great importance on economic and commercial relations with China, Dmitri Medvedev stated, "Considering hundreds of years of history between the two nations, China and Russia is having the best age in relations."

Adding that the total trade volume between the two countries reached its all-time high number, 83.5 billion dollars, in 2011, Russian Prime Minister said they will speed up joint investment projects despite the impacts of the global economic crisis of 2012 still continue.

Russia's membership of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) will also contribute to the economic relations between China and Russia, Medvedev emphasized.

In his speech, Wen stated that relationships between the two countries are rapidly growing in different fields and in the new term they are determined to promote the relations further.

It is reported that a total of 25 agreements were signed in the fields such as energy, investment, culture, trade and science as well as advanced technology.

Chinese Prime Minister will also meet Russian President Vladimir Putin.
