Galata neighborhood welcomes 8th edition of Visibility Project
The Galata quarter, one of İstanbul's liveliest historic corners and a must see for tourists visiting the city, is unrolling the eighth edition of its annual performing arts gathering this weekend: the Galata Visibility Project.

A series of events aimed at uniting the locals of the Galata neighborhood with performing arts, the Visibility Project kicks off on Saturday and will run throughout November with a different performance each Saturday, the Anatolia news agency reported this week.

The central theme of this year's series is "Kamusal Alanda Sanat" (Art in Public). With Şule Ateş as its artistic director, the series opens with "Zamanın Pası" (The Rust of Time), a performing arts show with a concept designed by dancer-choreographer Aydın Teker. A play co-produced by Turkey's Altıdan Sonra and Germany's Lokstoff! theater companies and two other performing arts shows by multicultural teams are also on the program for the first day.
