Anna Leaves for Assam to Participate in an Event against Privatisation
Anti-graft crusader Anna Hazare left for Assam today to participate in an event which he said was was being organised against privatisation. Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) chief and Hazare's aide Akhil Gogoi, had announced on November 4 that the septuagenarian would attend today's conclave against Bangladeshi influx in Assam. Former army chief Gen (retd) V K Singh too is expected to attend the conclave. The conclave will attempt to chalk out a road map to resolve the problem of infiltration from across the Bangladesh border by bringing together various organisations, political parties, leaders, intellectuals and activists on a single platform.

Asked if the fight against corruption had weakened after IAC member Arvind Kejriwal parted ways with him and Ramdev too fighting his separate battle, Hazare said though they had chosen to fight separately, the motive was same and all were working in the nation's interest. Kejriwal on Tuesday met Hazare after the latter underwent an eye surgery.
