Turkey: Four-month old baby, youngest victim of PKK terror dies in hospital
A four-month-old baby wounded in a PKK car bomb attack last month has died, a hospital source in the southeastern province of Diyarbakir said Thursday.

Injuries from the attack claimed Muhammed Can Eringin after 27 days of treatment at Dicle University Hospital, said the source, who asked not to be named due to restrictions on speaking with the media.

During the Nov. 4 PKK attack in downtown Diyarbakir, the infant was breastfeeding.

The bomb attack also martyred two police officers and killed 10 civilians, with about 100 injured.

Hasan Eringin, the boy’s father, earlier told Anadolu Agency that the attack had caused a cerebral hemorrhage.

The PKK – listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S., and EU – resumed its decades-old armed campaign in July 2015. Since then, more than 300 civilians and nearly 800 security personnel have been martyred. Around 8,000 PKK terrorists have been killed or apprehended.
