Syria's Al-Bab-Aleppo road under opposition control
The Turkish military said Wednesday that with the support of opposition ground and air elements, the road between the strategic Syrian cities of Al-Bab and Aleppo has been taken under control.

Al-Bab is currently held by Daesh terrorists, while civilians are evacuating war-battered Aleppo, once Syria’s second-largest city.

In a statement, the Turkish General Staff added that at least 48 Daesh targets were destroyed Tuesday under Operation Euphrates Shield.

The operation began in late August to improve security, support coalition forces, and eliminate the terror threat along Turkey’s border using Free Syrian Army fighters backed by Turkish artillery and jets.

Meanwhile, five Turkish soldiers wounded near Al-Bab were brought to Turkey’s southern province of Kilis for treatment, the military said.

The military said the wounded soldiers were taken to Kilis State Hospital and are not in critical condition.
