Lebanon seeks Turkey's help with garbage crisis
Sources say technical team from Turkish Ministry of Environment and Urbanization is scheduled to arrive in Beirut soon
During a phone call on Friday, Lebanese Prime Minister Tammam Salam sought support from his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoglu to handle Beirut's garbage crisis, premier sources said.
Davutoglu said that Turkey has the capability and the experience to help Lebanon overcome its crisis.
A technical team from the Turkish Ministry of Environment and Urbanization is scheduled to arrive in Beirut soon, according to the sources.
Beirut has been witnessing demonstrations since Aug. 22 to protest alleged government corruption and an ongoing garbage crisis.
