Assad buying time to push ahead with even more violent attacks
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said Assad regime's violent crackdown on civilians could only be halted through concerted international action.
"The international community must speak with one voice. That is the only way to change Assad's attitude. Otherwise, the autocratic regime illusion will continue," Davutoglu told a session on the Arab Spring at the World Economic Forum in Istanbul, Turkey.
Davutoglu said the Syrian president played on the weakness of the international community to buy time to push ahead with even more violent attacks.
