Israeli Embassy in Ankara stated that Israel could not accept the continuous indiscriminate rocket fire against its citizens.

ANKARA / GAZA

Releasing a statement, the embassy said that "Hamas and terror organizations" had been constantly escalating their attacks on the citizens of Israel since November 8th, adding, "Israel has shown great restraint in the face of numerous past escalations, yet it cannot accept the continuous indiscriminate rocket fire against its citizens."
"Since yesterday Israel has attacked Hamas strategic targets, and debilitated their ability to launch rockets from Gaza to the center of its populace. Israel is not interested in escalation; the goal of the operation is the removal of the strategic threat of rockets launched at civilians," it added.

Palestinian gov. refutes claims about ban on foreign diplomats' leaving Gaza

On the other hand, Spokesman of the Palestinian government in Gaza Tahir al-Nunu denied the claims that foreign diplomats were not allowed to leave Gaza.

Al-Nunu told AA that the news in Israeli media, which claimed that 43 foreign diplomats were not allowed to leave Gaza, were groundless.
Such groundless news were a part of Israeli propaganda, said Al-Nunu, adding, "we don't stop anybody who want to leave the region."
